Welcome to Appleseed Quiltworks of Lindsay! We first opened in the fall of 2010 beside the OK Restaurant and old Post Office building on William Street, and in May 2017 moved around the corner into our new and larger building directly on the main street in Lindsay. Our store is filled with all sorts of gems for you to come and discover, and our helpful staff will do their best to make sure you leave feeling inspired and ready to get going on that next project.
We have shelves of fabric waiting to be brought home and turned into something beautiful, with styles ranging from traditional to very modern and bright. We carry a full range of notions, but if there is that something that you just can’t seem to find anywhere, we’ll do our best to find it and personally order it for you. “Creating memories one stitch at a time” is our slogan, and we follow that within our store as well.
Our new building follows the theme of our first store, making its home in an 18th century building in Lindsay, originally the Home Bank of Canada. Many Lindsay residents will remember it as Graham’s Bakery. Featuring exposed brick walls, a tin ceiling, and a counter originally used at the Gray’s General Mercantile in Cannington, the shop is not just store, but a showroom in itself. The front entrance is ramped for easy stroller, wheelchair, and walker access, and the back entrance has an automatic door opener for even easier handicapped access.
Whether you’re just starting out on your first sewing adventure or have been at it for a few years and want to try something new, we offer a variety of classes. Ask in store about the current schedule.
Keep up to date with everything new at Appleseed, including sales, classes, events, and more, by signing up for our newsletter (we promise we won’t spam you, but you can unsubscribe at any time).
