The whole top is made from 24 strips that you sew together, cut up and layer together. Raw-edge appliqué the leaves on to the background. Use a small zig-zag stitch to sew down the edges in a variegated thread. TIP: This design also works with a Fat Quarter Bundle of ANY of our gorgeous 8-step gradations! Just order the pattern separately and cut your own strips - the look will be more subtle because there are fewer colors.
